01What the company is built on
Production sits in Nässjö, in the southern region of Sweden. Technical knowledge, tooling and the furnace are in the same place as the people who answer the phone.
Callo is family owned. The Krona family runs through the company’s own history — Jan-Olof, then Andreas, Johan and Oskar.
The focus is on being at the technical front of PM — not on being the largest supplier, but on knowing the process well enough to solve the awkward parts.
A powder press for multi-level structural parts and a pusher furnace were designed and built in-house rather than bought in.
“As we try to be your supplier and solver of problems.” Callo’s own description of the relationship it is looking for.
Callo publishes its history as a sequence of milestones without dates. They are reproduced below exactly as the company tells them.
02The story
Callo began with filters and silencers as its only sinter products. Everything else — bushings, structural parts, an in-house press, an in-house furnace — was added one decision at a time.
Milestones as published by Callo. No dates are shown because Callo does not publish them — add them and this list dates itself automatically.
Jan-Olaf buys a part of Callo Sintermetall AB. At this time filters and silencers were the only sinter products.

04Quality
Certification is not paperwork bolted on at the end — it is how the press, the furnace and the inspection bench are run. Callo has held ISO 9001 since 2004 and ISO 14001 since 2011.
