Quality

Quality built into the process.

Callo has held ISO 9001 certification since 2004 and ISO 14001 certification since 2011. The current certificate covers manufacturing structural parts, bearings and filters in sinter metal.

ISO 9001

Since 2004

Quality management

Providing guidelines to ensure products and services consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements.

ISO 14001

Since 2011

Environmental management

Providing a framework for us to enhance our environmental performance and comply with regulations.

01Control points

Where quality is actually decided.

A sintered part cannot be inspected into correctness at the end — by then the density is fixed. The control points that matter sit earlier in the chain.

01

Incoming powder

The material defines the ceiling for everything downstream. Powder is the first controlled input in the chain.

02

Compaction

Green density and weight influence the pressed part before sintering. Project-specific controls should be confirmed with Callo.

03

Sintering

Furnace profile and atmosphere decide the final material characteristics. Callo runs a pusher furnace built in-house.

04

Finishing

Repressing, cutting-machining and roll polishing are applied where the tolerance class requires them — and recorded.

05

Dimensional inspection

Measured against the drawing, inside a quality system certified to ISO 9001 since 2004.

06

Documentation

What was made, from what, to which revision. The paperwork that makes a supplier auditable.

02Tolerances

What Callo will commit to.

Published tolerance classes, stated plainly, with the routes to improve them. A supplier that tells you the limit before the order is a supplier you can plan around.

Tool-relatedIT 9
After sintering. Can be improved with different types of finishing e.g. repressing, cutting-machining and roll polishing.
In direction of pressingIT 13
Large shallow cavities make it easier and vice versa.
BearingsE7 / r7
Standard bearing bores are held to E7 and outer diameters to r7 before mounting. The bore closes as the bearing is pressed into its housing — Callo publishes an assembly instruction for exactly that reason.

03Documents

Certificates for your supplier file.

Purchasing departments need the paperwork before the first order, not after. Ask and Callo sends the current certificates.

04Custom components

Have a component in mind?

Send Callo your drawing or your requirements and start a technical discussion. The earlier the conversation starts, the more there is to gain — geometry, material, tooling and production economics are still open.

  1. 01

    Send what you have

Share the available part information directly with Callo and confirm the preferred drawing or model format.

  2. 02

    Talk to someone technical

Callo publishes direct phone and email contacts for questions and orders.

  3. 03

    Get a real answer

Discuss feasibility, materials and tooling requirements with Callo before production.
