Capabilities

Published powder-metallurgy capabilities.

Callo publishes manufacturing information covering structural parts, bearings and filters, including milestones for a powder press and pusher furnace built in-house.

01What we do

Six capabilities, each one verifiable.

Every claim below is sourced from Callo’s own published material. No machine counts, floor areas, tonnages or output figures appear on this page, because Callo does not publish them.

01

Powder compaction

Callo built its own powder press for multi-level structural parts and took it into production — an in-house capability, not a bought-in one.

02

Sintering

Callo’s first own-built pusher furnace was taken into the production line, again designed and built in-house.

03

Oil impregnation

Standard bearings are impregnated with turbine oil ISO VG 68; other special oils are available in production.

04

Finishing

Repressing, cutting-machining and roll polishing are used to improve on the IT 9 as-sintered tolerance class.

05

Design support

Callo publishes its own design-for-sintering guidance: target image, density, tolerances, levels, contour and gear limits.

06

Standard programme

292 standard bearing articles from Ø2 to Ø100 mm bore, plus standard silencers and air filters with brass feet in M5 to G1".

03The chain

From a drawing to serial production.

  1. 01

    Idea or drawing

A print, a 3D model, or a part that already exists and needs to be made better or cheaper. The earlier this arrives, the more Callo can influence.

  2. 02

    Material & design

Density target, material characteristics, geometry and function are fixed together. Density drives strength, hardness, elasticity and impact resistance.

  3. 03

    Tooling

Die, punches and core rods are designed around the pressing direction. Complex contours cost nothing extra on the part — only on the tool.

  4. 04

    Compaction

Metal powder is pressed to net shape. Callo runs a powder press built in-house for multi-level structural parts.

  5. 05

    Sintering

The green part is sintered so the particles bond. Callo built its own pusher furnace into the production line.

  6. 06

    Finishing

Repressing, cutting-machining, roll polishing, oil impregnation — whatever the tolerance class and function require.

  7. 07

    Quality control

Inspection against the drawing inside an ISO 9001 quality system, certified since 2004.

  8. 08

    Serial production

Repeat production with short lead times — Callo’s stated focus alongside staying at the technical front of PM.

02Flexibility

Small enough to change the plan.

Callo is family owned and manufactures structural parts, soft magnetic materials, bushings and filters from metal powder, with the focus on short lead times and on being at the technical front of powder metallurgy.

Callo describes itself as a supplier and solver of problems. Details about project handling, tooling ownership and change processes should be confirmed directly with the company.

“As we try to be your supplier and solver of problems.”

03Quality

Quality built into the process.

Certification is not paperwork bolted on at the end — it is how the press, the furnace and the inspection bench are run. Callo has held ISO 9001 since 2004 and ISO 14001 since 2011.

04Custom components

Have a component in mind?

Send Callo your drawing or your requirements and start a technical discussion. The earlier the conversation starts, the more there is to gain — geometry, material, tooling and production economics are still open.

  1. 01

    Send what you have

Share the available part information directly with Callo and confirm the preferred drawing or model format.

  2. 02

    Talk to someone technical

Callo publishes direct phone and email contacts for questions and orders.

  3. 03

    Get a real answer

Discuss feasibility, materials and tooling requirements with Callo before production.
